14 (13)
6Without respect for neighbors, without respect for God.
1 The fool says in his heart,
1 God does not exist.
1 All have strayed, all are perverted,
1 there is no one who does good.
2 The Lord looks down from heaven
2 upon the race of Adam,
2 to see if there are any
2 who seek God and act wisely.
3 They have all turned aside:
3 corrupt all of them alike.
4 Will they ever learn these doers of evil?
4 For they devour my people,
4 that is their food
4 and do not call upon the Lord.
5 But suddenly terror strikes them:
5 God was on the side of the just!
6 You may confound the hope of the poor,
6 but the Lord is their refuge.
7 Oh would that I see
7 Israels salvation coming from Zion!
7 When the Lord brings home the exiles,
7 what joy it will be for Jacob,
7 what happiness for Israel!
