11 (10)
18The just fear nothing. If God is with us, who will condemn us? May he deliver us from fear when we face those who threaten and crush others.
1 In the Lord I take refuge.
1 How, then, can you say to me,
1 Flee to the mountains like a bird
2 for the wicked are bending their bows
2 and fit their arrows to the string.
2 They get ready to shoot in the dark,
2 they take aim at the upright of heart.
3 When foundations fall to ruin,
3 what can the righteous do?
4 The Lord is in his holy place
4 our God whose throne is in heaven.
4 He looks down to earth
4 to observe the race of Adam.
5 The Lord searches both righteous and wicked.
5 He hates those who delight in violence.
6 Upon the wicked, he will rain
6 coals of fire and brimstone
6 a burning blast will be their lot.
7 For the Lord is righteous
7 he loves justice.
7 The upright will see his face.
